DIY Marble Vase and Flowers

Writer's picture: thriftinganddiythriftinganddiy

Hey everyone! Back with another cheap and easy project to upgrade your room using contact paper!

Here are the supplies you need for this project:

-Contact paper, I chose marble print and got it for $7 at Walmart, see it here

-Square glass from the dollar store for $1

-Fake flowers, I got mine at the dollar store

-Green foam, which I also got at the dollar store

-A hot glue gun (any glue would work I just don't like waiting for it to dry)

-And a credit card or other plastic card to smooth out the paper

Steps:

1) Measure the height (add 2 inches to this) and length around of the vase you are working with and cut a piece of the contact paper to those measurements.

2) Start on one side of the vase with the paper and have 1 inch extra paper on the top and the bottom of the vase.

3) Smooth out the paper on all 4 sides.

4) Fold over the extra paper on the bottom and into the top of the vase.

5) Cut the green foam so it will fit into the vase, then glue it into the bottom of the vase.

6) Lastly cut and stick the flowers of your choice into the foam, and then you're done!

Here is my finished project

Final cost:

Marble paper: $1 (used only a fraction of the roll)

Vase: $1

Foam: $1

Flowers: $1

Project total: $4!
